I am a 'big picture' thinker and apply a business mindset to all my design work. Where the budget allows, I use UX research methodology in order to better understand your clients— define user personas, user stories and map out user flows.
UI Design
I love to design fun, logical, creative and efficient user interfaces. I'm also a very meticulous designer— I make component-based, variable-defined and pixel perfect designs in Figma that can be directly translated to HTML.
Design Systems
I love the efficiency of design systems— I'm right at home with initiating and evolving a design system for a product.
Prototype Designs
There's nothing like a prototype to see if a design really works. I am highly proficient in Figma and can design interactive prototypes that your clients and their customers can test out.
Mentoring/Teaching
I love to teach and can work alongside your junior designers to mentor them in how to design for the web, or help your team bridge the gap between design and development.
Front-end Development
I love coding as much as design and have been coding custom websites in HTML5 and CSS3/Sass for over 15 years. I love to learn and am always adapting to new ways of developing for the web.
Working with your dev team
I am happy to translate Figma designs to CSS variables, build web components or templates in HTML/CSS/Sass, and contribute on git-based code repos.
Design to Dev hand-off
As an experienced coder, I understand the web and can talk the language of your engineering/dev teams and contribute to a smooth transition from design to development.
Client Relationships
I am comfortable leading design meetings with external clients to talk through the design rationale for work, answer client questions and liase with the client throughout a project.
Internal Operations
I’m very passionate about working efficiently and am very adaptable— I'll fit in with how you run your team and contribute where possible to make things run smoothly.
New Business
I'm always excited about new projects and love working on new business pitches. I can contribute top-level UX strategy and recommendations to help win new business.
